About Me

Raia E. Neiman, PsyD, HSP

I’m Dr. Raia Neiman, a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder of Wisdom Psychological Services. I currently provide telehealth therapy exclusively to adults residing in New Jersey.

My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in deep respect for your lived experience. Whether you’re navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, identity-related stress, or rejection sensitivity, I offer a space where you can feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. Together, we work toward insight, healing, and meaningful change.

I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree with a concentration in forensic psychology. While my current focus is on individual therapy, my background includes years of experience in court systems and other high-stakes environments. That work has shaped my understanding of how systems impact mental health and has strengthened my commitment to providing affirming, culturally aware, and ethically grounded care.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to filter parts of yourself—even in past therapy—this practice is a space where all of you is welcome. I believe healing begins with honesty, safety, and connection, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate that process.

Services may expand in the future to include additional states and specialized offerings, but for now, I’m honored to support individuals living in New Jersey through secure, telehealth-based care.

An About page is an opportunity to showcase your business’s heart and soul.

What i offer

I provide individual therapy for adults who are navigating a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My clients often come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, misunderstood, or ready to make meaningful change. Some of the concerns I commonly work with include:

  • Depression, anxiety, and chronic stress
  • Trauma, including complex or long-standing trauma
  • Identity-related stress or feeling like you don’t fully belong
  • Rejection sensitivity or difficulty managing intense emotions
  • Borderline personality traits or issues with relationships and self-worth
  • Psychosis-related symptoms or unusual experiences that are hard to talk about
  • Life transitions, burnout, and feeling unfulfilled or disconnected

How I Work

My therapy style is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I believe that real healing happens when you feel safe to show up as your full self — no judgment, no pressure to be “fixed.”

I draw from a variety of approaches based on your needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help shift patterns in thinking and behavior
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – to build skills for managing emotions and relationships
  • Trauma-informed therapy – I respect the impact of trauma and move at a pace that feels safe
  • Psychodynamic and relational therapy – to explore patterns from the past and how they show up today
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed and parts work – to help you understand the different parts of yourself with compassion
  • Narrative and schema therapy – to help you rewrite harmful internal stories and understand emotional patterns

I also have a strong background in working with people involved in legal systems or institutions, which can be helpful if you’ve had negative experiences with providers or systems in the past.

Currently, I offer telehealth sessions to adults living in New Jersey. If you’re looking for a therapist who brings both professional depth and a down-to-earth approach, I’d be honored to support you.
